Under the leadership of He Jinbi, Chairman of the Board, Maike Group has actively devoted to social public welfare and established a good public image. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Maike Group is well aware that seeking benefits for employees, paying more taxes for the country and caring for local economic development are the foundation of its social responsibility. It actively undertakes social responsibility, performs social practice, helps vulnerable groups and better gives back to the society. Over the years, Maike Group has vigorously developed social public welfare undertakings during poverty alleviation through education, industry, infrastructure, consumption and anti-epidemic, helping poor areas to realize the endogenous cycle from "blood transfusion" to "blood generation".

Poverty Alleviation Through Education

In terms of poverty alleviation through education, Maike Group invested in the construction of Maike Guangcai Primary School in Ningshan County and donated daily necessities and school supplies; donated an accumulative total of more than RMB 2 million to China Soong Ching Ling Foundation for the development of children and women welfare undertakings.

Poverty Alleviation Through Industry

In terms of poverty alleviation through industry, Maike Group innovated the poverty alleviation mechanism, and successively provided the characteristic poverty alleviation mode of "insurance + futures" for apples in Qin'an County, red dates in Jiaxian County and corns in Shangluo City, with an accumulative investment of nearly RMB 2 million. In 2018, it participated in the construction of Guluba International Research Town Project in Chenggu County, Hanzhong. It drove the local employment and industrial transformation and upgrading through the industrial operation mechanism, and helped the people in nearby poor villages to get rid of poverty and become better off.

Poverty Alleviation Through Infrastructure

In terms of poverty alleviation through infrastructure, Maike Group takes improving infrastructure and making up shortcomings in development as important ways to improve the production and living conditions of people in poverty-stricken areas. It invested an accumulative total of RMB 938,000 in Guofengling Village, Sanguanmiao Town, Lantian County to build photovoltaic equipment, deep well water, water tower, reservoir, water diversion pipeline and other infrastructure for the village. It invested about RMB 500,000 to build a smart (photovoltaic) parking lot for Caijiapo Village in Huyi District to help Caijiapo to get rid of poverty and properly answer the "final test paper" of poverty alleviation.

Poverty Alleviation Through Consumption

In terms of poverty alleviation through consumption, Maike Group purchased agricultural and sideline products related to poverty alleviation in Taihu County, Anqing City, Anhui Province, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province and Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, and purchased gift packs for poverty alleviation from Hubei on the eve of Dragon Boat Festival, with an accumulative consumption of RMB 350,000. During the first live commerce of poverty alleviation products in Lantian County, Maike Group invested RMB 2 million to help poor people to start up business and obtain employment, increase income and achieve prosperity.

Concerted Efforts to Fight COVID-19

During the anti-epidemic period, Maike Group responded quickly, made careful deployment, and fulfilled its social responsibility actively to initiate the first charitable trust to fight COVID-19 pandemic established by a single entity in northwest region. At the same time, the Group gave full play to its advantage of overseas procurement resources to coordinate and purchase epidemic prevention supplies from more than ten countries including Germany, Japan, Australia, Canada and South Korea, and continuously donated money and supplies to charitable organizations, medical units, people's livelihood security units and other front-line anti-epidemic units, with an accumulative investment of more than RMB 12 million. It practiced corporate responsibility with practical actions and won wide attention and praise from government leaders at all levels and all sectors of society.
